As previously reported, the leadership of the World Leagues Association (WLA) will be in Tashkent from June 7 to 14. The head of the WLA’s League Development Department, Stanislav Shtipkov, has already arrived in Tashkent and will begin his evaluation work with the League starting June 8.
Key focus areas include:
• club licensing process;
• mechanisms for television broadcasting;
• the League's marketing strategy;
• media and communication strategy;
• stadium infrastructure;
• competition organization procedures;
• league governance mechanisms;
• relations between the Association and the League.

Shtipkov will hold separate meetings with the responsible representatives of the League for each of these areas and conduct an in-depth study. Based on the findings, a report highlighting the strengths and weaknesses will be prepared.
Starting in 2025, WLA has launched a League Development Program, and Uzbekistan has become its very first participant. Under this program, WLA will annually select one league as a participant and include the findings of the study in its annual reports.
For reference, UzPFL has been an official member of the World Leagues Association since 2023. So far, the League has participated in three of the Association’s annual forums: Dubai (2022), Warsaw (2023), and Cairo (2024). The 2025 forum will be hosted in Athens. UzPFL is currently the only member of the WLA from Central Asia and the CIS region.
The World Leagues Association currently has 47 member leagues, which can be viewed below.
