FC Turon, founded in 2017, gained membership of the League by 2019 and in its very first attempt, won the B Proleague competition in the Eastern region, securing promotion to the Proleague.
Turon successfully participated in the Proleague in 2020 and 2022, earning promotion to the Superleague twice and competing at the elite level in 2021 and 2023. While the club struggled to perform successfully in the top competition, they gained recognition from many fans and experts.
As a private club, Turon managed to meet several requirements set by the League. The Uzbekistan Stadium in Yaypan was renovated, a new stand was built on its eastern side, and, for the first time, the stadium was equipped with a floodlight system. The League even hosted the 2022 Uzbekistan Supercup at this venue. Clubs such as Kokand-1912 and Neftchi also used the Uzbekistan Stadium for several matches.
The club also focused on youth development by establishing its own academy. A modern training facility and adjacent practice fields were built. Notably, some Superleague clubs that have existed for years still lack such facilities.
However, after the expiration of the privileges granted to the private club, Turon faced financial difficulties. The club played the 2024 season in the First League with 17-18-year-old players and finished 11th in the Eastern region. On March 19 of this year, Turon officially announced its withdrawal from the League membership.
UzPFL expresses its gratitude to Turon Football Club's organizers and initiators for six years of collaboration.
