
On October 20, the Uzbekistan Professional Football League (UzPFL) convened a pivotal meeting with Club Directors to discuss preparations for the upcoming 2026 football season.
As the new season approaches, the gathering served as a crucial platform for collaboration between the League and its member clubs. Diyor Imamkhodjaev, General Director of the UzPFL, opened the meeting by congratulating the clubs on a successful season marked by growth in both development and fan engagement. He also emphasized the importance of addressing upcoming challenges to ensure a smooth and progressive start to the new campaign.

The first major topic was the introduction of the Superleague-2026 Competition Regulations. For the first time in the League’s history, the top-tier division will operate under a dedicated regulatory framework focused solely on competition matters. These regulations have undergone significant revisions and enhancements, which were thoroughly reviewed with the Club Directors.
