The opening four gameweeks of the Uzbekistan Superleague are now complete, and with international football approaching, teams delivered another exciting round of fixtures before the break.
Kokand‑1912 2:1 Navbahor
The matchweek began with the Valley Derby between Kokand‑1912 and Navbahor. When Anri Chichinadze opened the scoring in the 14th minute, it looked as though the Namangan side would once again impose their game. However, the hosts had plans of their own. Javohir Husanov equalised from the penalty spot, and despite Navbahor’s efforts to regain the lead, it was Kokand’s Muhammadanas Hasanov who struck in the 90+4 minute to secure all three points.
Khorezm 1:2 Bunyodkor
After two winless matches, Bunyodkor arrived with clear determination — and it showed. Early goals from Nosirjon Abdusalomov and Matija Krivokapić gave them control going into halftime. Although Temurbek Ismoilov pulled one back for Khorezm, the visitors maintained their composure to seal an important victory.
Qizilqum 0:1 OKMK
Mirjalol Qosimov’s side finally registered their first win of the season. In a tense match in Navoi, defender Abror Karimov scored the lone goal, easing early concerns for OKMK and providing a much‑needed boost for their supporters.
Andijan 2:0 Mash’al
Andijan continue to thrive at Bobur Arena, and this time Mash’al were on the receiving end. A 12th‑minute red card for Ibrohim Ganikhonov made the task even harder for the visitors. The hosts took full advantage, with goals from Martin Boake and Doniyor Abdumannopov sealing a confident home win.
Bukhara 3:1 Dinamo
Bukhara continue their impressive start, adding another major scalp to their collection. Despite conceding an unfortunate own goal just before halftime, Alexander Khomyakov’s team responded brilliantly in the second half — scoring three goals to overturn the match and remain one of the undefeated teams this season.
Neftchi 3:1 Lokomotiv
Neftchi’s fans — accustomed to clean sheets in the first three fixtures — may not have enjoyed the same defensive perfection, but the performance was once again of high quality. Ibrohimkhalil’s stunning opener is already a strong contender for Goal of the Season. After Temurkhuja Abdukholikov equalised, Stipe Perica restored Neftchi’s lead before Alisher Odilov sealed the victory in the 88th minute. With this win, Neftchi sit comfortably at the top of the table.
Nasaf 0:1 Surkhon
One of the standout results of the round came in Samarkand, where Nasaf hosted Surkhon due to stadium reconstruction. The match appeared destined to finish goalless until Tornike Dzebniauri struck in the 90+1 minute. The dramatic goal earned Surkhon their first victory under interim head coach Anvar Gofurov.
Sogdiana 2:4 Pakhtakor
Sogdiana were involved in yet another goal‑filled match — but once again ended up on the losing side. After an early strike from Filip Ivanovic, Pakhtakor responded with four goals of their own to take control. Feysal Mulic’s 90+5 consolation goal made little difference, as Pakhtakor climbed into third place.
Standings After Gameweek 4
Neftchi and Bukhara remain unbeaten, showcasing consistent early‑season form. Meanwhile, Sogdiana and Mash’al continue their struggles, still seeking their first wins of the campaign.
