Elite Football Returns to G'uzor Stadium

The Sho'rtan home stadium was found to be non-compliant with the requirements for Superleague matches in November of the previous season.

By April, the condition of the pitch had improved, as anticipated in March (with the stadium's drainage and irrigation systems meeting satisfactory standards), and the Sho'rtan was urgently tasked with improving the stadium’s lighting system. As of March 29th of this year, the stadium's projectors were providing 1,192 lux of light, which was later increased to 1,900 lux during this period. Alongside the improvements to the pitch and lighting system, work began to address obstacles related to the operation of the VAR system and the broadcasting of the matches.

With the pitch condition and lighting system meeting the minimum requirements, as well as considering the current economic situation of the Shortan and Mashal football clubs, and the fact that the Bukhara stadium has not yet been launched, which has affected the League's schedule, the G’uzor stadium will be opened for football matches.

On April 30th, Shortan will host the Olympic at this arena as part of the Uzbekistan Cup . On May 4th, the Sho'rtan — Dinamo match will take place in G’uzor as a test for the 8th round of the Superleague. In case of unforeseen force majeure situations, the decision regarding the stadium will be reconsidered.
